Lucas, a UX/UI designer on a mission to improve human experiences through design.
With a background in Marketing, Web Design and UI Design, I know the value of developing a desirable product, understanding customer needs and keeping business objectives in mind. Once I learnt more about UX and human-centred design, I knew that I wanted to be a part of actively building solutions that would make a meaningful impact on users.
I believe that user experience design is at the perfect intersection of creativity and analysis - while there is so much room for creative expression, I love that UX design focuses on the user and that solutions are based on real, human needs.
In 2019-20, I started my studies in UX/UI design.
Firstly, I studied UX Design through a project-based program with Georgia Demas, which has given me a holistic view of the entire UX design process and an appreciation for working on projects from ideation to final product.
Then, I fell in love with User Experience and joined a Bootcamp with General Assembly. It was a 40-hour course, that taught me in more detail how it is to work as a product designer in the industry. We were asked to find a problem of our daily lives and solve it using the design thinking method and agile.
I also concluded a few other courses like Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner by IBM, Design Thinking and User Experience by FIAP.
I worked as a freelancer for two Brazilian startups as a UI Designer, redesigning their entire website. During this time I worked remotely, which helped me gain valuable skills in communication, organisation and collaboration that I've been able to carry into further remote work and learning spaces.
Now, I spend a lot of time adding to my knowledge of UX and UI processes and concepts by taking part in challenges and creating singular designs.
Outside of design, I'm a big fan of playing sports, music and books.
If you'd like to work together, I'd love to hear from you!
